The Jialing River makes a vast, sweeping horseshoe bend here — the widest and most unobstructed stretch of river visible anywhere within the main urban area.

"Take Metro Line 6 or 10 to Yuelai Station and walk to the Yuelai Riverside Park viewing platform. The hour before sunset — roughly 5:30 to 6:30pm — is when the river surface turns a wide sheet of amber. The viewing walkway is fully cantilevered, so you look straight down over the entire arc of the bend."
