About this place

A violent geological fracture in the Wuling Mountains near Fuling — a narrow winding chasm where vertical cliff walls rise hundreds of meters and block out the sky, creating near-darkness at the bottom.

Drifter says

"High-speed rail to Fuling North Station, then shuttle. The Qing Tianxia section is the signature experience: walls one to two meters apart, zigzagging through the earth with a sliver of daylight far above. Warning: the core route is almost entirely steep downhill stairs — very hard on knees. If you have any knee issues, skip this one. Bring a layer even in summer — the temperature inside the chasm is significantly cooler. After the gorge, take a taxi to Baiheliang Underwater Museum: you ride a long elevator down into the Yangtze riverbed to view thousand-year-old water level carvings in situ — a genuinely world-class experience most visitors miss entirely."
