A large seasonal flower valley deep in the Tieshanping mountain range, with strictly limited bloom windows that reward those who time it right.

"Take Metro Line 4 to Tieshanping Station, then a short taxi ride of around 15 RMB. Free entry. Bloom seasons are strict: cherry and peach blossoms mid-March, azaleas and cosmos late April. Arrive before 9am — the morning mist hasn't lifted yet, the light is at its most ethereal, and you'll miss the afternoon crowds entirely. Outside of March to May there is nothing to see."
