About this place
A Republican-era banknote printing factory converted into an industrial design park, with the original factory structure — corridors, rooftops, machinery rooms — left largely intact. Free entry, and almost every corner is worth photographing.

"The rooftop terrace is the best spot in the complex — both the Jialing and Yangtze rivers appear in the same frame from up there, a view that's rare anywhere in Yuzhong. The rusted pipes and weathered walls in the industrial corridors make natural backdrops; light quality is best after 3pm. A few strong independent bookshops and cafes are tucked inside — slow the pace down and half a day here is time well spent."
