A vast ecological reserve in Jiangjin characterized by deep red sandstone formations, dense subtropical forest, and the heart-shaped Wangxiangtai Waterfall — one of the most dramatically shaped waterfalls in southwestern China.

"About 1 hour from Chongqing to Jiangjin by high-speed rail, then about 1.5 hours by shuttle. Ticket around 90 RMB, internal shuttle extra. This place is too large for a day trip — plan to stay at least one night for proper hiking. The back trails away from the shuttle bus routes are where the reserve reveals itself with hidden red canyon sections. Best in late spring when water levels are high. Wear proper hiking shoes."
