About this place

Named after a Qing dynasty three-arch stone bridge whose moss-covered structure is now pinned underneath a brutally modern concrete overpass — a new traditional-style dining street built directly on top of this compressed history.

Drifter says

"Push through the imitation-antique restaurants and descend the steep stone steps to the very bottom — stand in front of that Qing dynasty bridge being held down by the modern overpass above it. This is the most viscerally striking cross-section of Chongqing's time-folding anywhere in the city. Then come back up, grab an outdoor terrace seat, eat spicy river fish while the skyscrapers surround you, and enjoy the river breeze that is exceptionally good here after dark. Walk down from the street to the riverside path and you can continue all the way to Jiangbeizui Riverbank to watch the Hongya Cave night view — drone shows on Saturdays."
