"It looks unremarkable during the day. It starts waking up around 6 or 7pm and doesn't wind down until 4 or 5am. There's an Asia Top 50 cocktail bar here — have a drink, then head to a smoky roadside stall for grilled sweet potato skin. A Ferrari owner and a ride-hailing driver who just finished his shift sit on the same plastic stools eating the same late-night food — the classless, democratic underbelly of Chongqing night culture is most visible on this street. The recommended sequence: start with a proper hotpot dinner, choose a club or bar according to your mood, end with barbecue or a bowl of xiaomian."
