The largest art museum in Chongqing, located inside the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute campus in University Town, defined by its extraordinary exterior — the entire facade is covered in a mosaic of discarded colored ceramic fragments forming a massive abstract artwork.

"Take Metro Line 1 to Daxuecheng Station, then cycle or take a short taxi to the museum (about 5 minutes — the campus is large). Free entry but advance reservation is required through the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute Museum WeChat mini-program. Open 9am to 5pm, closed Mondays. Afternoon sunlight hitting the colored ceramic fragments produces spectacular reflected light across the facade — the building itself is worth the trip regardless of what's showing inside."
