About this place

A vibrant, neon-drenched avenue just steps from Chongqing North Railway Station, packed end-to-end with fiercely competitive old-school hotpot joints that have been fighting for the first-meal loyalty of arriving travelers for decades.

Drifter says

"The heavy scent of spicy beef tallow hits you the moment you walk out of the station. The real magic happens between 10pm and 2am when late-night trains arrive and locals flood the street for midnight supper. Look for the spot with the most plastic stools outside. Local survival tip: order a glass-bottled Wei Yi Soy Milk — this is the real Chongqing hotpot antidote, not peanut milk. Fresh duck blood and crispy tripe are mandatory orders."
