The original Dashiba branch of Chongqing's most legendary late-night barbecue institution, built around one dish: foil-roasted pig brain smothered in secret-recipe chili oil, garlic and barbecue seasoning.

"Take Metro Line 5 to Dashiba Station, Exit 3 or 4. Open until 3am. The ingredient sounds terrifying but the texture is identical to very soft silken tofu — once the spiced chili oil and garlic fully penetrate it, the result is genuinely addictive. No English menu; point at the foil parcels on neighboring tables to order. Add garlic eggplant on the side. This is peak Chongqing late-night culture."
