The remaining fragments of the original Huxi farming village that predates the university town built around it — most has been demolished, with a few old stone bridges and structures surviving near the riverbank.

"Honest assessment: the contrast of farmers selling vegetables next to modern universities that made this place worth visiting has largely disappeared. If your itinerary is tight, skip it. If you're already in University Town for the art institute, a ten-minute walk to the old stone bridge by the river is fine. Nothing more than that."
