About this place
Over a kilometer of residential buildings, shops and alleys along Yangjiu Road entirely covered in murals — a 2007 project involving 800 workers, students and artists that transformed a derelict neighborhood into one of the world's largest graffiti art installations.
Drifter says
"Take Metro Line 18 to Huangjueping Station — direct, no bus transfer needed. Free entry. The street is divided into designated zones with signs: free-graffiti zone, restricted zone, observation zone. Buy a marker from any stationery shop on the street and leave your mark in the free zone legally. Important: do not try to walk to the Luo Zhongli Art Museum from here — it's in a completely different district miles away. Before you leave, find the Jiaotong Teahouse — look for the nondescript doorway next to a local canteen. It's the last surviving old-style teahouse in Chongqing, where painters like Luo Zhongli did their early life sketching."
