A large high-altitude city forest park in Shapingba with dense pine and cypress coverage, clean mountain air and well-maintained hiking trails — with Bai Mansion and Zhazidong both located at its base, making it the natural anchor for a full-day historical and natural route.

"Most people come for the historical sites and leave without going further up the mountain. That's a mistake. Start the morning at Bai Mansion and Zhazidong at the base, then follow the hiking trail up through the pine forest. The air quality alone is worth the climb. Free to enter the park. The ascent takes about an hour depending on your pace, and you'll have most of the upper trails entirely to yourself."
