The real reason to come here as a traveler is spatial: walk through the designer floors, find the southern outdoor plaza near the Apple Store, follow the gentle uphill path from the plaza edge, and in literally one step you are inside Minzhu Village — 1980s red brick alleys, grandmothers selling vegetables, mahjong in the shade. The contrast between those two worlds sharing the same city block is the whole point."
