"Find the shop with the sign reading 陈建平麻花 and the longest queue of locals. Around 15 to 20 RMB per bag. Get the Ma La flavor — Sichuan peppercorn and chili compressed into crispy fried dough is a strange combination that makes complete sense once you try it. Also grab some hand-pounded sticky rice from nearby stalls. Don't buy too many bags — they get heavy fast."
